The best way to travel to Laos would be to catch a flight to either Bangkok (Thailand) or Hanoi (Vietnam) and use a smaller airline company such as Lao Airlines to travel into and around Laos. A cheaper method to travel once you’re grounded would be bus, though obviously takes a long time to get between places and depending on the route can be very uncomfortable.
